Method 1: Tamarind + Vinegar with Boiling Water

• Boil water and add a small amount of tamarind and vinegar.

• After soaking, wash the utensil with mild soap and dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.

Method 2: Vinegar or Lime + Salt

• Apply vinegar or lime juice to the tarnished copper surface, then rub salt over it.
• Use a clean kitchen scrubber to gently scrub the surface.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

Method 3: Pitambari Powder

• Apply a small amount of Pitambari powder directly onto the copper utensil surface.
• Gently rub the powder in circular motions.
• Rinse the utensil with water and dry with a soft cloth.

For Lacquer Finish Copper

• For lacquer-finished copper, avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbing that may damage the coating.
• Use a soft cloth dipped in warm, soapy water to gently wipe the surface.
• Rinse with clean water and dry immediately with a soft cloth to prevent moisture from sitting on the lacquered surface.
• Do not soak lacquered items in water for long periods.

Tips

• Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemicals to prevent scratching the surface.
• For stubborn tarnish, repeat the soaking process or gently scrub with a paste of baking soda and vinegar.
• Store copper utensils in a dry place to avoid moisture and prevent tarnishing.
• Regular cleaning helps maintain the shine and keeps the utensils looking new.
